When the league started at the beginning of the Term, I am sure no one thought it would be as exciting as it turned out to be. The games were played each Tuesday afternoon, at various grounds. These were Headstone, Chandos, Harrow Weald and Byron Recreation grounds. In the first matches we found out how each team combined together. One of the highest scoring teams was ‘Leyton Orient’ against ‘Manchester City’. The ‘Orient’ finished winners by 8 goals to 2. The ‘Wolves’ beat ‘Chelsea’ by 4 goals to 3, At the end of the five games ‘Wolves’ were the champions. ‘Leyton Orient’ came second and ‘Real Mädrid’ and ‘Spurs’ came third and fourth, both had two wins. ‘Chelsea’ won one game and lost four, while ‘Manchester City’ drew one and lost the remainder.
