The Teacher's Reward

The Teacher stood at the "Golden Gate",
His head was bent and low,
He meekly asked the Man of Fate,
The way that he should go.

"What have you done on earth?" St. Peter said,
"To seek admission here?"
"I've been a teacher at the 'Salvatorian College',
For many, many a year."

St. Peter opened wide the gate,
And gently pressed the bell,
"Come inside and choose your harp,
You've had your share of hell.
