This is a new Society being built up in a new school. It is flourishing under an able committee consisting of -
The Society has held three Debates That Britain should adopt the decimal system; That teachers are human beings and That Latin is so important to be kept on the school curriculum. A political mock election is being held, on Monday 2nd April, 1962 with four candidates, one for the Labour, Liberal, Conservative and Independent respectively. (Note: Since this report was received the Mock Election has taken place and a Communist Candidate also entered). The necessary requirements to become a member:-
1. To be willing to pay sixpence a term. Any person who wishes to join the Society should contact any member of the Committee mentioned above. |
