In the Summer Term the Junior section of the Society will be started, membership being open to boys in the second and third forms. The senior section has been meeting during lunchtime on Tuesdays for a term now, and is slowly becoming more organised after a shaky start.

P. Woolford (Form V) is the President and is ably assisted by the hard working secretary E. Nickless (4A) and the treasurer D. Kelly (4A).

The membership of the Society must be limited unfortunately to a total of about thirty boys, and so only those extremely interested in the subject and willing to show their interest by hard work, are admitted.

When the Society is fully established its activities will include:

Individual activities1. Modelling
 2. Cartography (Map making)
 3. Preparing Wall-displays
 4. Compiling the picture collection

Group activities1. The Geographical Magazine
 2. Film Evenings
 3. The Geographical Exhibition
 4. Visits to museums, Exhibitions, etc.
 5. The Newsboard
 6. The Weather station

Through those activities the members will increase their own knowledge and enjoyment of the subject and at the same time, it is hoped, will help many other boys to learn more about the world around them in interesting ways. The first magazine for instance is planned for next term, and during, the next academic year you will all be invited to the Society's Exhibition in the Geography Room.
