"Sunset"

A golden beam shines on the shimmering sea
The bubbling blue gives an image of tranquillity
The skyline curves
On the distant horizon
And your nerves
Are relaxed, you just sit with your eyes on
The sun, as it sinks, and then melts in the sea.
Against the bright background is a dark silhouette
Transfigured, it seems, by the sun as it sets.
A profile of solitude
Surrounded by light.
As the day
Melts away
And turns into the night!
