You will have heard little or nothing about the Mathematics centre. There does exist such a centre, however, and it is located in Room 25. It is essentially for Senior pupils: here they will find mathematical, astronomical and scientific magazines, and a store of new books covering a wide field of mathematical interest. Also on show there are mathematical models, press-cuttings and charts. It is hoped that in the course of the year specialist lecturers will give talks on their subjects, ranging from computers to space-flight. |
