Bridge Association

A new game to the school - in existence only since the beginning of the Autumn Tern - which, from a nucleus of four players has now ten addicts playing each lunch hour. Mr. Henry, the President, provides us with training and invaluable advice. He has also obtained from the Friends Association some necessary equipment for matches. To give us some interest and aim, a Game has been arranged against Downer Grammar School's Bridge Society.

Membership is open only to Sixth Formers, and it is hoped that many more of the Sixth will join and so give the young Association a chance of survival against the more attractive and virile associations in the school.

Our aim is a very modest one - to win the County Final in the first year and the National championship in the second year of operation. I think that the International Championship will have to wait awhile!!!!
