Cricket - Under 15s

Played 18. Won 5. Lost 8. Drawn 5.

This cricket season was an enjoyable though somewhat disappointing one. The highlights were for the team:-

1. Reaching the semi-final of the Middlesex Cup, going out rather tamely to Hampton after playing good cricket to reach that stage.

2. The tour to Norfolk where we enjoyed the different types of cricket of better standard than we usually meet.

3. The staff match, which although played in pouring rain was played to the bitter end, despite being reduced for 24 overs to 20, to 18 and finally to 15.

Brendish, Ryan, Taylor, Herson, Coburn, Wilson,
Flanagan, Pitt, Clements, Duffy (Capt), Flint, Feerick, Geary.
One too many names in original magazine!

Individual performances of note were:-
Flint's innings on tour and against the Staff.
Geary's slip fielding which was of very high quality, and his batting, scoring well over 150 runs which included a very good innings, against Hampton.
Wilson, whose batting and bowling helped us tremendously in our success in the Knockout.

Finally I would like to thank the players of this long season who gave their best, especially Flanagan whose workrate, even after a long night in Norfolk, was exceptional. My thanks to all concerned.

J. Duffy, Captain.
