Tring: Urban Study
The group was divided into pairs and each pair was allocated part of Tring to study. On enlarged
duplicated street plans the age and function of all buildings was recorded and from this work an
overall picture of the growth and function of Tring emerged. Some difficulties arose because the
maps we were using were based on the O.S. 2 1/2" sheet and we found that large areas of new
housing were not shown.
