The Classical Society

A meeting of a few boys especially interested in the Classics was held in one of the classrooms early in January. From there a close knit group of students emerged determined to make a success of a project which had failed abysmally on two previous occasions.

The Lower Sixth Latin Croup comprises the core of the Society, presided over by Mr. Morgan and Mr. Towey. Obviously the main subjects discussed by the Society are Latin and Greek, in the latter of which an astonishing knowledge is displayed by all students.

It was decided that the group should try their hand at poetry, a couple of attempts of which are well worth printing.
