Our Class - 3C

Enter through the main doors, climb the stairs to the first floor, then turn left. The second room on the left is room eight, 3C's form room. Our form master, Mr. Cornes, continued our line of teachers who believe firmly in discipline. In our first and second years, we had Mr. Byrne. He took us in as scraggly urchins, and he turned us out as a well drilled and neatly dressed outfit. Mr. Cornes took over in September 1968 and as I write this in July 1969, he is nearing the end of his third-form duty with us. During his reign we suffered a loss to our class in the shape or Nicholas Wilson, who left at Easter to go to a Watford School, he was the first, and we hope the last, depletion to our class.

Over the three years, we have had three form captains, Paul Sheehy, Peter O'Riordon and Jonathan Ross, while we have had two vice-captains, John Foley and Michael Landers. We have quite a few brains of the third year in Ross, Foley, O'Riordon and Napper, to mention but a few. We have about a dozen school football team members who have made appearances over the past three years including O'Sullivan - the Captain. We also have members of the cricket, athletics and hockey teams, and supply at least ten of the members of the school orchestra.

We have been together now for three years. I am sure that we all wish to stay in the same grouping in the forth form. And why not?
