Head's Forward
To be given the unenviable task of writing a foreword to a magazine which has been produced, for
the most part, in the clinical air of the medical room does not necessarily imply that the
contents are unlikely to raise the blood pressure or the temperature of the reader. In the best
tradition of the expert on the touchline I have refrained even from the most cursory glance at
the contributions made by the boys! All heresy, treason, malfeasance, and any other misprision
hereinafter encountered is to be laid at the door of the contributors - who are multiple - and
the editorial staff - which is simple (in the most correct sense of being innocent). Hopefully
this production may meet with the approval of the parents, at whom it is primarily aimed, as
some evidence of the growth of their offspring in secondary education, at the variety of their
interests, the high quality of their illustrations, and the eminence of their achievements It
has, undoubtedly, been a labour of love on the part of the Staff and boys concerned; that it may
prove to be a pleasure to read is my most sincere hope.
