Sports Day Title
For the first time it was decided that this year each House would enter a complete team at the four levels of competition, U13, U15, U17, U19.

Thus eight competitors could compete in each event, and if the necessary work was done house points could be won - or lost - if representatives failed to compete.

For the first time ever the complete range of athletic events took place and this means that records were set for the hammer, pole vault and race walk. A total of 36 events on the track and 27 field made it certainly the biggest School Sports Meeting ever attempted. A large crowd of boys' parents and friends were present and there was certainly much to see and take an interest in. 12 events had a full total of 8 competitors, 24 had 7. Again 12 events had 6 competitors, 6 events had 5 and 3 events had 4. Allowing for the fact that competitors could compete in three events, about 200 boys took an active part in the Sports, surely the object of any School Sports Meeting.
