Under 14s Report

A successful season was enjoyed by the U.14s who won 20 games out of a total of 28 played. Hopes of reaching the final of the local Cup competition were soundly dashed in a defeat in the semi-final by Downer, who won 3-2. Over confidence proved to be a contributory factor in this result, but if the lesson is taken to heart then it might well bear fruit next season. In the Harrow League the team finished in third position. The top goal scorer was Gary Holland who finished the season with 62 goals to his credit. Michael O'Connor scored 29, Don Campbell 21 and Cliff Hays 11. The usual team on duty was: Mchale, Sheehy, Morgan, Sweeney, Hays, Campbell, Hickey, Smith (Capt.) O'Connor, Holland, Mulqueen. All the team would like to thank Mr. Towey for his help during the season.
