Hockey

Three sides were fielded this year, a 1st XI, Under-15s, and Under-14s, but, like last year, the difficulty was to obtain fixtures. The three teams had combined total of only fifteen games; of which three were drawn, three were won and nine were lost.

The most successful side was the Under-15s team. This team also represented the college in the London Senior Festival, which we entered for the first time. After showing good promise in the first three games, the standard dropped and eventually the team came twelfth out of fifteen.

The two teams entered in the London Junior Festival were no more successful. In fact, and Under-13 team brought back the wooden spoon.

Despite the lack of success and shortage of fixtures, the enthusiasm of those who play is very heartening and their good spirit very praiseworthy. Next season there will be a much better fixture list and we hope to field four teams. With the improvement in fixtures we look forward to an improvement in results as the teams grow in experience.
