Football - Under Fifteens

The under 15's football squad comprised over twenty members of the fourth year. Competition for places, therefore, was fierce and attendance at regular training sessions imperative.

Overall the quality of football was very good and as the season progressed the team showed its ability to be patient in building up its moves and in playing attractive, entertaining football. Most of the season's games were won, - reversing some heavy defeats of previous seasons. Notable amongst these victories were those against Cardinal Vaughan and John Lyon. The only disappointments were the defeats in the Cup competitions. In the Middlesex Cup we were defeated by Kilburn High School when with a little more self-confidence early in the game, we would have prevented them from scoring. In the Harrow Cup, Park High won 4 - 3 on a thoroughly wet pitch which was hardly suited to any football.

I have managed this football squad since they first entered the school. I want to take the opportunity to thank all who have played and attended training sessions during those four years and to express my sincere appreciation for their loyalty, dedication, enthusiasm, friendship and the many hours of entertainment they have given me. I hope they have enjoyed their four years as much as I have.
