Do you remember the St. Josephs Beefeaters with their colourful tabards who provided the music between scenes; danced around the Maypole and taught us how to hand 'jive'? Do you remember how masculine the Salvatorian scenes were with their stories of knights, apprenticeships, kings and war? Did you laugh and cheer when a pupil was being beaten during the 'Whippin 'Whipping Boy'? Do you remember how the Sacred Heart balanced the scenes with their feminine charm as they showed how woman's role in society has changed for the better? Did the futuristic dance in the final scene portray woman's mastery of the Universe?
Congratulations to the script-writers; the stage crew who worked extremely hard building the sets and co-ordinating the lighting and sound; and to the Jazz Group for their 'feet-tapping-hand-clapping' rhythms.
To conclude, the Glimpse of History showed that in practise there is co-operation between the
staff and pupils of our three Catholic Schools.
