Editorial

Another school year has come and almost gone as we present our edition of "The Salvatorian", in which you will read reports of activities outside school, as well as samples of work written by pupils in the classroom.

This is the first publication of the magazine since we became a 12 - 16 comprehensive, and it was gratifying to see such a positive response to our appeal for contributions. I would like to take this opportunity of thanking all those who submitted material.

Particular thanks are extended to the office staff, Mr. Davies, and Patrick Bragoli without whose help this publication would not have been possible.

It was decided to introduce more variety in this edition while at the same time encouraging creative writing, which like any other creative form of art is a difficult one. What is important to the aspiring young writers is that he is given encouragement, and there is no encouragement so great as seeing his work in print.

In conclusion, I hope that you, the reader, will find this magazine pleasing in some way. If so, our efforts will have been worthwhile and we may, departing,

"leave behind us
footprints in the sands of time".
