Under 13's

"A" team were 2nd in the Harrow League, losing one game to Rooks Heath - the team we beat in the Semi-final of the cup. We won the Cup final beating Hatch End 5 - 0. We won all our friendlies whenever we had a full team - four of the "A" team played throughout the season for the Harrow District side.

"B" team had a varied season - playing at least 30 different boys during the season. They are a delightful lot of lads and special mention should be made of the two captains - Seamus Finnerty of the "A" team and Tony Rea of the "B" team.

There are now three teams in the school - the 13's, 14's, and 15's. The U13's had a late start to the season, but managed to beat Nower Hill in their first match by 16 - 15. The halfbacks, M. Mulligan and J. Moran showed great promise, while in the scrum, A. Alexis, the captain, S. Butler and P. Swyny played well. With more practice this team will be very useful.

The U14's have many exceptional players, but haven't combined to play as a team just yet. K. Hasset saved the day many times at full-back with some magnificent tackling. Also I. Pearson the captain plays very well at flanker and S. St. John commanding the scrum at No. 8. After some unlucky defeats during the season, the U14's finally triumphed against St. Gregory's by 26 - 4. This was a game when the pack totally overwhelmed the opposition with lock-forward G. Bowlt scoring 3 tries.

The U15's having suffered some setbacks at the start of the season shaped up very well against Cardinal Wiseman winning 40 - 6. Again this was total pack domination led by A. Fitzgerald, who hooked well, P. Walsh, N. Marley and J. Harris. While the 3/4 line had a splendid game, especially S. Nash and N. Swyny, the wingers, P. Scott and I. Teelan, both had excellent games scoring a try each. J. Daley, who captained the team throughout the season at full-back, kicked some marvellous penalties and J. Mulligan converted some tries. A big "THANK YOU" is extended to Mr. Williams and Mr. Tufnell who gave up their time to train the teams and referee the matches.
