Around 1968-69, I started an Amateur Radio Society at the school. It was also a smoking club really. We had the use of a store room at the back of one of the physics labs.

Here are Dave Kirman, Mr Allen, John Moran (?), Mick Burke (?), and myself. I remember him ( Mr Allen ) turning a blind eye to the clouds of smoke that billowed out of our room when he opened the door.
