Tranny In Class!

A couple of anecdotes about surreptitiously listening to the radio in class.

There was a guy who used to regularly bring in a tranny with an earpiece to listen to in class. (He eventually got expelled, but for other reasons) There was this song called Good Morning Freedom by Blue Mink, which has a very distinctive and loud catch line. It went something like "A BE BOW BOW BE BE BE BE BOW" Anyway this classmate of mine, whom we shall refer to as Pete, decided to take the earpiece out and turn the radio up full volume just as the song reached this point. Mr Crosby the teacher was a bit mutton so he didn't catch on, but most of the class fell about laughing and Crosby couldn't understand why.

My friend Brian Durcan, now sadly no longer with us on this earth, was a keen horseracing fan and brought in a tranny to listen to the Derby which used to be run on a Wednesday afternoon. He was all keyed up for the race and we were having Physics in that theatre classroom, an ideal location to settle back and enjoy the race. Just as they went under starters orders, that ****ing prat Povey spots the earpiece and hauls Brian out. I think he was more annoyed about missing the race than getting detention.
