I recall Fr Benedict and sundry tricks which we, good-naturedly, played on him. My principal recollection of Fr Benedict was when someone tied his 'rope' belt to a desk with the effect, to misquote Mary and the little lamb, wherever Fr Benedict went the desk was sure to go.

I seem to recall that shortly after us Fr Benedict had a spell away from the school.
