Mr Crosby, A lovely old feller and a good teacher. Always seemed to wear one of those cream-coloured Summer jackets that old boys got from Dunn & co.
We were under the impression that because of his war time experiences he did not take too kindly to Orientals so when a new Chinese kid joined we were all agog to see how he would react. No sign of any racism or grudge though.
Was it Mr Crosby who had the scar on his temple and was rumoured to have been one of the survivors from HMS Hood after it was sunk by the Bismark? I always let myself believe that one. |
