Anybody remember Fr Alphonsus (white haired happy looking chap).
Fr Alphonsus had a habit of placing his left hand on a kid's head as if to give a blessing. He would then hit his left hand with his right hand. To a casual observer it looked like he was hitting the child. Whilst this did not hurt as such (he did it to me at least once) it did send a sort of reverberation through your skull and body. |
