Strobo was a great big fat geography teacher who was possibly the most cynical man alive. He went about with a perpetual sneer on his chops and had obviously given up on geography as having any kind of relevance whatsoever.

I remember him setting us an essay and handing it back unmarked on the grounds that "It doesn't matter one way or the other if you know what an ox-bow lake is, boys." Became something of a hero to me.
