... he eschewed the more traditional approach to Religious Education and instead started reading from this avant-garde book called "Jesus Davidson" which set the story of Christ in modern day Stevenage or something. We just fell about laughing (which wasn't the idea) and he got more and more upset.

He then brought in a record of some hippy folk band playing a song called "Hey God, what you doing to me?" The whole class was now crying with laughter, especially when Sir decided to sing along with the chorus.
